Dr. Elizabeth Ellrich
Dr. Elizabeth is a graduate of Drake University and Palmer College of Chiropractic. While at Palmer, she discovered her love for pediatric and prenatal chiropractic. Dr. Elizabeth has completed the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association courses in prenatal and pediatric care where she learned how to best serve moms, babies, and children. She is certified as a PX Pro Doc through The Pediatric Experience and Life University's Postgraduate Department and participates in their ongoing continuing education focusing on the analysis and assessment of function and performance of children’s central and autonomic nervous systems.
Dr. Elizabeth knows a healthy pregnancy, birth, and childhood journey are rooted in chiropractic care. Her mission is to help keep your family healthy and informed by providing excellent clinical care tailored to each individual and their needs and health goals. She believes she has the BEST job in caring for families—from witnessing women thrive in pregnancy and experiencing the birth they imagine to watching babies and kids reach developmental milestones and seeing whole families grow vibrantly and live healthy lives.
Before coming to Swain Chiropractic, Dr. Elizabeth had three years of clinical experience in Kansas. She felt called to return to Iowa and sought to find a team on the same mission to serve families on their health journey. After experiencing a day at Swain Chiropractic, she knew it was exactly where she wanted to be. She is thrilled to return to the Des Moines area and join the Swain Chiropractic team caring for families in our community.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking with her dog, Frankie, spending time outdoors, working out, watching scary movies, and spending time with family and friends. She is always seeking new educational opportunities and frequently travels to chiropractic seminars and trainings.

Dr. Kari Swain
Dr. Kari Swain specializes in chiropractic care for the whole family--helping patients reach their health goals and improve the quality of their lives. Building patient relationships and providing individualized chiropractic care to each patient is her primary focus in practice. She is a Doctor of Chiropractic and has been serving Altoona and the surrounding communities for 28 years. She was born and raised in Iowa and has known since she was a young girl that her calling was chiropractic. Dr. Kari loves partnering with patients to help them achieve their health goals and live life to their fullest potential. From brand new babies, kids, and teenagers to pregnant, postpartum, and seasoned moms and dads, Dr. Kari sees chiropractic change the lives of her patients every day and can’t imagine doing anything else but serving
